MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019189 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 4, for 'automatic wheels locking device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automatic wheels locking device comprises a rectangular plate 101 installed on a vehicle bumper, with multiple suction units 102 affixing the plate 101 to the vehicle, a user interface in a computing unit allowing the user to input commands, processed by an inbuilt microcontroller that actuates a telescopic rod 103 configured on bottom portion of plate 101 extending to position trapezoidal-shaped bodies 104 between the rear wheels, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 105 installed on body capturing images to detect the gap dimensions between wheels, the microcontroller actuates a motorized ball screw mechanism 106 integrated in between bodies 104 to expand the lateral length between bodies 104 to affix them to wheel threads, an ultrasonic sensor detecting wheel thickness to control a pair of hydraulically operated L-shaped bars 107 gripping the wheels, and a laser sensor ensuring proper gap locking between rims."
