The sensor (33) detects movement of waste materials on the transport rail (27) and activates the camera (34) to capture images of the waste materials. The control unit (51) processes the captured images to identify category of the waste materials and actuates a drive motor (46). The drive motor (46) rotates the rotatable trash bin (42) having multiple waste collection compartments arranged in a circular configuration to selectively align a corresponding compartment with a discharge path of the transport rail (27) for receiving the identified waste material."
