MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010046 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'automatic shoe-polishing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Meenakshi Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an automatic shoe-polishing device, comprising a platform 1 installed with a push button 2 pressed by a user for activating device, an inbuilt microcontroller process commands and activates a speaker 3 installed on platform 1 for notifying user to position a shoe that needs to be polished on platform 1, a camera 4 installed on platform 1 for capturing and detecting shoe shape, a moisture sensor installed on platform 1 for detecting presence of moisture on shoe, a dirt sensor installed on platform 1 for detecting presence of dirt on shoe, and a chamber 8 attached with platform 1 for storing shining solution to dispense over shoe via multiple electronic nozzle 11 attached with brush 7 to polish the shoe."
