MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010100 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'automatic ridge construction device for sowing seed.'
Inventor(s) include Sunil Kumar Gaur; and Devendra Pal Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automatic ridge construction device for sowing seed, comprising a platform 1 arranged with multiple motorized wheels 2 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, a touch enabled screen 3 installed on platform 1 accessed by user for entering details regarding an area, depth and distance over which ridges are to be made, a camera 4 for detecting user-entered area, multiple spades 5 arranged on platform 1 in an inclined manner for digging soil on ground surface via movement provided by multiple slider crank arrangement 6 attached on the platform 1 and connected with each spade 5, a pair of rectangular flaps 7 attached with platform 1 via a pair of ball and socket joint 8 for tilting flap 7 to block dispersed soil, and a rake 10 installed beneath platform 1 via a pair of telescopic rods 11 for making user-specified type of ridges on area."
