MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102914 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 25, 2025, for 'automatic oil refill diya system with continuous flame maintenance and sensor-based alerts.'

The intelligent monitoring ensures uninterrupted operation, minimizes oil waste, and reduces supervision. Suitable for households, temples, and decorative arrangements, the system (100) enhances ritual, aesthetic, and functional aspects of traditional diya usage."
