MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088308 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 22, 2023, for 'automatic grass removing device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rajneesh Tyagi.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automatic grass removing device comprises of a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface and configured with a touch enabled screen 2 accessed by a user to input commands regarding a dimension of a field which grass is to be cut, a camera 3 to detect a path to be travelled by wheels 4 to cut the grass, an elongated shovel 5 mounted on the platform 1 by means of a vertical extendable rod 6 to cut the grass as per the user-entered length, a laser acuity sensor mapped on the shovel 5 for detecting distance between the shovel 5 and surface and a U-shape supporting frame 7 to extend in accordance with the detected distance for positioning a wheel assembled at free-end of the frame 7 over the surface as a means of providing support to the shovel 5 in view of removing the grass."
