MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202648024956 A) filed by De Motu Cordis Pty Ltd., Windsor, Australia, on March 3, for 'automatic dispenser for respiratory delivery device.'
Inventor(s) include O'Flaherty, Brendan; Lipman, Johann; Lynch, Patrick, Joseph; and Fredatovich, John.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a particulate delivery device with an automatic activation mechanism that pierces or cuts a composition capsule when a cap is removed. The cap cannot be replaced once the device is activated for use. The device allows for gas flow through the device from a gas inlet to a gas outlet through a composition receptacle and dispersion chamber to deliver particulate to the airway of a subject."
The patent application was internationally filed on June 23, 2020, under International application No.PCT/AU2020/050633.
