MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020104 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'automatic comedones removing device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automatic comedones removing device comprises of a curved body 1 positioned on a table by means of a pair of L-shaped telescopic rod 2 arranged with the body 1, a pair of suction cups 3 for affixing the body 1 with the surface, a camera 10 for detecting comedones present on face of the user, a Peltier unit 17 arranged with a chamber 15 installed with the body 1 for maintaining the user-defined temperature of the steam, a heating unit to generate steam from water stored in the reservoir 6 as per user-specified temperature, a temperature sensor for detecting temperature of the steam and the Peltier unit 17 for maintaining an optimum temperature of the steam, an electronic sprayer 9 to dispense the steam over the user's face, and a blackheads remover tool 13 to apply pressure over the comedones for expelling out comedones from user's face."
