MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020166 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'automated y-strainer maintenance device.'
Inventor(s) include Rajdeep Singh; Amresh Kumar; Sanjeev Sharma; Rohit Singh; and Piyush Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated Y-strainer maintenance device, comprising a cuboidal housing 1 positioned over a fixed surface and crafted with an opening, a motorized conveyor 2 is accessed by a user to position a Y-strainer over conveyor 2, an imaging unit 3 determines positioning of Y-strainer over conveyor 2, a touch interactive display panel 4 to command input required maintenance of Y-strainer, an ultrasonic sensor monitors dimension of Y-strainer plurality of telescopic clamps 5 grips Y-strainer, a robotic arm 6 configured with a motorized wrench 8 disassembles nuts and bolts engaged with Y-strainer, a robotic gripper 7 grip nuts/bolts and position within a receptacle 15, a dust sensor determines presence of dust and debris, a robotic link 9 with a motorized carafes 10 brush scrubs dust and debris, a motorized sliding unit 12 provides positions nozzles over Y-strainer, and an air blower 13 blows air over Y-strainer for drying Y-strainer."
