MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020029 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 18, 2024, for 'automated workpiece installation device.'

Inventor(s) include R. K. Jain; Dhruv Joshi; V. K. Tyagi; and Naveen.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an automated workpiece installation device, comprising a body 1 configured with wheels for maneuvering the body 1, a frame 3 configured with body 1 for accommodating a workpiece, a double crank gear lever arrangement 4 arranged with the flaps 13 for extending and accommodating the workpiece, plurality of suction cups 5 arranged on frame 3 for securing the workpiece, an imaging unit 6 installed on the body 1 for detecting a ceiling height, a container 8 arranged on frame 3 for storing clamping strips, a robotic arm 9 arranged on said frame 3 for positioning strips around the workpiece, a robotic gripper 10 arranged on said frame 3 for gripping and orienting pins accommodated within a reservoir 11 arranged on the frame 3, a hydraulic punching arrangement 12 mapped on the frame 3 for applying pressure on pins."
