MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020063 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 18, 2024, for 'automated workpiece cutting device.'

Inventor(s) include Anil Kumar Joshi; Shoyab Hussain; Raj Kishore Singh; and Ajay Sharma.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated workpiece cutting device, comprising a platform 1 configured with plurality of motorized wheels 2 developed to be positioned on ground surface, a bar 3 configured with a multiple links 4 allowing user to position a workpiece on a slot 7 crafted underneath bar 3, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 5 detect dimensions of workpiece for actuating a pair of L-shaped telescopic clamping units 6 for extending and securing workpiece, a durometer to detect harness of workpiece for evaluating an appropriate pressure required for cutting workpiece, a telescopic pole 9 configured with a motorized cutter 10 actuated by microcontroller for marking a slab on workpiece, multiple telescopic rod each configured with a suction cup 12 extend and position suction cup 12 over slab, followed by actuation of suction cups 12 to affix workpiece and placing slab over a tray 13 arranged on platform 1."
