MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007245 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'automated workpiece cutting device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated workpiece cutting device comprises of a platform 1 arranged with multiple rods 2 that provides support to platform 1 on a ground surface, a disc 3 accessed by a user to place a wooden workpiece, a touch sensor for detecting placement of workpiece, multiple suction cups 4 for affixing with workpiece in order to secure workpiece on platform 1, a touch interactive display panel 5 for enabling user to input details regarding a portion of workpiece that user desires to cut, a high torque DC (Direct Current) electric motor 6 for providing movement to disc 3, an inverted L-shaped bar 7 for extending to position a motorized cutter 8 to cut workpiece according to user specified dimension, an imaging unit 9 for capturing images of platform 1 during cutting process for determining presence of sawdust on platform 1 and a vacuum based cleaning unit 10 for cleaning dust."
