MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022911 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 23, 2024, for 'automated wooden workpiece repairing device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wooden workpiece repairing device, comprising a cuboidal body 1 installed with a platform 4 for accommodating workpiece as detected by a weight sensor, multiple inverted L-shaped telescopic links 5 retract to clamp 6 work piece on platform 4, a multi-sectioned chamber 7 store wood dust and adhesive paste, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 9 determines damaged portion, a two-axis motorized slider 10 positions a cutting tool 11 over damaged portion, a vacuum based cleaning unit 12 collects remains, a first motorized iris lid 13 dispenses wood dust and paste inside a container 14 which are mixed by a motorized stirrer 15, a second motorized iris lid 16 dispenses repairing paste on damaged portion which are spread by a flap 17, a second robotic link 19 removes extra paste by a sharp edged plate 20 and a third robotic link 21 smoothens repaired portion of workpiece."
