MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010041 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'automated wooden plank painting system.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sachin Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wooden plank painting system, comprising two frames 1 installed with a button which is pressed by user to activate system, an AI-based imaging unit 2 for determining dimensions of a plank, a pair of clamping units 4 arranged on each of frames 1 and user engages plank with units to grip plank, an ultrasonic sensor for monitoring distance between plank and surface, a motorized scissor arrangement 6 for maintaining proper distance between plank and surface, a laser measurement sensor for monitoring surface of plank, a robotic arm 7 for rubbing surface to smoothen plank, a multi-sectioned chamber 9 arranged on frames 1 and each attached with an nozzles 10 via a L-shaped rod for spraying paint over plank, a non-contact moisture sensor for monitoring moisture level of plank, and a ball and socket joint for flipping plank to paint other side of plank."
