MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024692 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated wooden log splitting device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sudipa Mal; and Rajesh Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wooden log splitting device, comprising of a platform 1 affixed over a ground surface by multiple suction unit 2, a vertical cylindrical 3 shaft installed over the platform 1 to receive voice command, a hollow cylindrical member 4 engaged over the shaft to provide translation, a microphone 5 installed over the platform 1 to receive voice command, an imaging unit 6 installed over the platform 1 to determine dimensions, a proximity sensor installed over the platform 1 to monitor distance, a horizontal telescopic bar 7 installed over the shaft to position an extendable motorized clamp, a pair of motorized drawer 8 arrangement installed in the clamp to provide appropriate extension and retraction to the clamp, a horizontal telescopic rod 9 installed to position plurality of sharp edged blades, a motorized hinge joint 10 installed in between the blade and rod to split the log into the user-specified pieces."
