MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441078332 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Oct. 15, 2024, for 'automated wooden log cutting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wooden log cutting device comprises of, an elongated extendable body 1 having a first and second end, wherein the first end is configured with a plate 2 adapted for accommodating a wooden log that is to be cut and the second end is configured with a pair of motorized rollers 3 for translating the body 1 in accordance to requirement of a user, an artificial intelligence-based image capturing unit installed on the body 1 for detecting orientation of the wooden log with respect to the plate 2, plurality of motorized blades 4 connected on edges of the plate 2 via a motorized hinge, to position the blade over the wooden log to cut the wooden log, a laser unit installed on the body 1 for emitting laser light over the wooden log, a motorized drill unit installed on the body 1 for drilling the wooden log."
