MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025496 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated wooden-log carving device.'
Inventor(s) include Anuradha Saini; Navneet Katoch; Aanchal; and Akshit Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wooden-log carving device, comprising a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, suction cups 2 to adhere to the surface for securing the platform 1on the surface, a slot 3 for enabling a user to accommodate a trunk of a tree, touch interactive display panel 15 enabling a user to provide input regarding a user-desired trunk, artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 for capturing images of the platform 1 to determine position of the trunk, hydraulically operated bars 5 for positioning a motorized clamp 7 in proximity to the trunk, drawer arrangement 6 to increase/decrease dimensions of the clamp 7, motorized rollers 8 to rotate for unwrapping the straps, robotic arm 9 to acquire a grip of ends of the unwrapped straps, vertical sliders 10 to provide translation to a metallic plate 11."
