MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019666 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 16, 2024, for 'automated wooden floor removing device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wooden floor removing device, comprises of a platform 1 arranged with multiple rods 2 that provides support to platform 1 on a wooden surface, a motorized wheel 3 for providing movement to platform 1 on surface, an imaging unit 4 for capturing and processing multiple images of surface based on which an inbuilt microcontroller generates a 3D (three-dimensional) map of flooring, a display panel 5 for displaying said map and also accessed by a user to input a pattern of wooden planks, a pair of sharp edged telescopic spikes 6 to position spikes 6 adjacent to planks, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting distance between spikes 6 and planks, a sensing module for detecting hardness and moisture level of planks and a robotic gripper 7 for gripping and placing planks into a multi-sectioned chamber 8."
