MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024916 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated wooden dowel manufacturing device.'

Inventor(s) include Sanjeet Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wooden dowel manufacturing device, comprising, a body 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, a touch interactive display screen 2 arranged with the body 1 that is accessed by a user for providing input regarding dimensions of a wooden dowel to be manufactured, a storage chamber 3 arranged inside the body 1 accessed by a robotic arm arranged inside the body 1 for gripping a wooden piece stored in the chamber 3, a platform is arranged inside the body 1 that is accessed by the arm for accommodating the gripped wooden piece on the platform, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 installed inside the body 1 for capturing multiple images of inside the body 1 and a motorized clamping unit integrated on the platform for gripping the accommodated wooden piece."
