MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018815 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'automated wooden article manufacturing device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wooden article manufacturing device comprises of, a housing 1 arranged with a chamber 2 stored with multiple wooden pieces, a touch enabled screen 3 to give input commands, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 for detecting one of the blocks 6 suitable for manufacturing the article, a pair of motorized slider 7 for translating the blocks 6 to grip the block on the platform 5, a gripper 8 for gripping and positioning the block on the platform 5, a motorized cutter 10 for cutting the block in desired shape, a circular motorized disc 11 for accommodating the cut block, a set of pneumatic pins to extend and insert in the block, a set of telescopically operated rods 12 to extend for positioning the chisel 13 in contact with the block, and a motorized two-axis lead screw arrangement 14 for providing a suitable bi-directional motion to the rods 12."
