MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024039 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'automated wood carving and coloring device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Durgesh Nandan; and Poonam Gupta.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wood carving and coloring device, comprises a platform 1 positioned on a fixed surface for cutting word, plurality of suction cups 2 adhere the platform 1 on the surface, an expandable slot 3 accommodates the wooden piece, an imaging unit 4 captures images of vicinity of the platform 1 to determine dimension of wooden piece, a display panel 5 enables user to give input regarding desired pattern to be carved, sliding unit 8 provide forward translation to the slot 3 under U-shaped member 7, a dual-axis motorized sliding unit 8 integrated on ceiling of U-shaped member 7 provide translation to blade 9, multi-sectioned chamber 10 stores color wax sticks, heating torch 13 provide heat to color sticks in order to melt them."
