MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025403 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated wood bending device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wood bending device comprises a body 1 arranged with a chamber 2 having an inlet accessed by a user for accommodating multiple wooden strips to be bent, a touch interactive display panel 3arranged on the body 1 for user input, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 is installed inside the body 1 determine positioning of the strips in the chamber 2, a pair of robotic arms 5 installed inside the body 1 to grip the strip from the chamber 2, a motorized iris lid 7 for allowing the arms for accommodating the strips inside a vessel, a boiler, filled with water configured with the body 1 to produce steam, a timer integrated with the microcontroller to monitor time duration of passing of steam, and plurality of platforms 8 arranged inside the body 1 and integrated with multiple molds 9 accessed by the arms for engaging the strips."
