MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020065 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 18, 2024, for 'automated wire winding device.'

Inventor(s) include Jasvir Singh Rana; R. P. Agarwal; Dhruv Joshi; and Vandana Kanyal.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wire winding device, comprising a housing 1 configured with rods 2, a wheel 3 to move housing 1, a first motorized roller 4 arranged within housing 1 wrapped with wire for winding/unwinding wire, a ball joint 6 connected between roller 4 and housing 1 to rotate roller 4, a display panel 7 to input details regarding wire's length, a first robotic gripper 8 for gripping wire, a motorized calendar roller 9 to translate wire towards platform 10, a telescopic clamp 11 to clasp wire's end, a motor 12 to move clamp 11, a RPM sensor attached with first roller 4 for detecting unwrapped wire length, a telescopic cutter 13 to cut wire, multiple clipping units 14 mapped on clamp 11 to clip wire's bundle, a chamber 15 for accommodating multiple zip-ties, a second robotic gripper 16 mapped within housing 1 for placing bundle near to outlet 5."
