MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073935 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'automated wire tension maintaining device.'
Inventor(s) include Sonia Jindal; Dr. Ruchi Singla; Dr. Dinesh Arora; Dr. Parveen Singla; Ritu Sharma; Jaspreet Kaur; Ritik Singh; Mayank; and Yash P S Chauhan.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wire tension maintaining device, comprising a frame 1 configured with a pair of rings 2 arranged over lateral sides of frame 1 in which a user passes a cable through cavities for maintaining appropriate tension in cable, a motorized roller 3 having a motorized clamp 4 grips cable in a secured manner;, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 5 determines diameter of cable, a motorized iris units 6 gripping cable in a secured manner, an ultrasonic sensor monitors curvature of cable accordingly roller 3 rotates for wrapping cable to regulate curvature of cable, and a pressure sensor detects applied by wrapped cable over roller 3 accordingly roller 3 unwraps and wraps cable over roller 3 respectively to maintain appropriate pressure over roller 3."
