MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010108 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'automated wire stripping device.'
Inventor(s) include Namit Gupta; and Pradeep Kumar Verma.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wire stripping device comprising, a housing 1 configured with multiple rods 2 to provide support on ground, a suction cup 3 for affixing with surface, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting presence of user, a lid 4 linked with an inlet 5 to insert a wire, an imaging unit 6 for capturing images of inner housing 1, a clamping unit 7 to grip inserted wire, a laser sensor for detecting thickness of wire, a sliding unit 8 installed on periphery of a disc 9 for positioning a pair of curve shaped member 10 attached with sliding unit 8 to clamp wire over disc 9, a touch sensor for detecting clamping of wire, a linear slider unit 11 configured with a blade 12 for providing a linear motion to the blade 12, a touch interactive display panel 13 to input detail, a motorized clipping unit 14 gripping slit wire."
