MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025416 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated wire mesh manufacturing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wire mesh manufacturing device, comprising a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, an imaging unit 2 installed on platform 1 to detect dimensions of wires, a motorized sliding unit configured in between slot and clippers 4 for translating clippers 4, a chamber 6 assembled on platform 1 for storing a roll of filler material, a motorized roller assembled inside chamber 6 for rotating on its axis to unwind filler, a conduit 7 connected with chamber 6 for supplying filler towards a hand-held, a hand-held unit is gripped by a robotic arm 9 configured on platform 1 for positioning hand-held unit on junction foe connecting junction by welding, a power supply unit 5 assembled on platform 1 for supplying power supply to hand-held unit to heat the filler, an electronic nozzle 3 attached mapped on platform 1 for dispensing gas towards junction."
