MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020650 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'automated wire fencing repairing device.'
Inventor(s) include Ashok Gupta; Neha Vashistha; Mamta Bansal; and Nidhi Tyagi.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wire fencing repairing device, comprising a frame 1 integrated with a handle 2 that is accessed by a user for holding frame 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on frame 1 to monitor position of breakage point of fencing, a motorized sliding unit 4 arranged on handle 2 and integrated with a pair of clamping units 5 to translate clamping units 5 in proximity to ends of breakage point, the clamping unit acquire a tight grip over end of wire of fencing, an ultrasonic sensor mapped on sliding unit 4 for monitoring distance in between stretched ends of wire, a robotic arm 6 is integrated on each of clamping units 5 for twisting ends of wire in order to mend fencing, and a chamber 7 stored with multiple pieces of wire."
