MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024147 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'automated wire dispensing device.'

Inventor(s) include Sushant Pandey; Rishab Naithani; Sarabpreet Kaur; Pardeep Kumar Jindal; and Manbir Kaur Brar.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wire dispensing device comprising, a platform 1 positioned over a fixed surface by means of multiple suction cups 2 to affix platform 1 with surface, a motorized disc 3 is installed over platform 1 that is accessed by a user to position a wire roll over disc 3, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 mapped over platform 1 to determines dimension of wire roll, multiple telescopic gripper 5 installed over outer periphery of disc 3 to extend and grip wire roll, a touch interactive screen 6 installed over platform 1 to allow a user to provide input regarding unrolling and rolling of wire, an extendable robotic gripper to grip free end of unrolled wire and position in proximity to user, thereby enabling user to easily acquire unrolled wire."
