MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026155 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated windshield cleaning device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated windshield cleaning device, comprising an cuboidal body 1 affixed over a four wheeler in proximity to a windshield of four wheeler, plurality of suction cup 2 configured with body 1 affixes body 1 with four wheeler, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 3 installed over body 1 determines dimension and shape of windshield, multiple motorized hinge joints 4 that are interconnecting plurality of plates 5 configured with body 1 regulates shape of plates 5, an dust sensor installed over body 1 determines presence of dirt over windshield, an electronic nozzle 6 installed over each of plates 5 dispense cleaning solution over windshield, a motorized pop-out scrubbing disc 9 installed beneath each of plate scrubs windshield, a ball and socket joint 7 installed between body 1 and plates 5 provides to and fro motion to plates 5 for enabling disc 9 to scrub entire windshield to remove detected dirt."
