MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022635 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 22, 2024, for 'automated whirlybird roof ventilation installation device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated whirlybird roof ventilation installation device, comprising a platform 1 positioned over surface of roof by means of plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 2, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 to evaluate a 3-Dimensional mapping of roof, a computing unit accessed by user to select an area over surface over which a whirlybird roof ventilation is to be installed, a pair of inverted L-shaped hydraulic rods 4 positions an anchor plate over surface, a two axis lead screw arrangement 6 positions a cutting unit 7 over user-selected area to cut, a pair of robotic grippers 8 accesses a chamber stored with base and top portion of whirlybird roof ventilation assembly, a robotic link positions a nozzle 10 in proximity to joining portion of roof and base portion to dispense adhesive solution over portion, an air blowing unit 9 blows air over dispensed adhesive for affixing base portion with roof."
