MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018828 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'automated wheel sprocket unfastening device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wheel sprocket unfastening device, comprises of an elongated extendable body 1 having a first and second portion, a suction cup 2 for adhering the body 1 on a ground surface, a plate configured with a cylindrical hollow member 3 for accommodating the sprocket of the wheel, a camera 4 for capturing multiple images of the sprocket, plurality of telescopically operated links 5 for extending the curved shaped unit 11 over the teeth of the sprocket, an electromagnet 6 for securely gripping the sprocket, an electronic nozzle 7 connected with a chamber 8 stored with a corrosion removal solution for dispensing the solution over the sprocket, a DC (Direct Current) electric motor for rotating the member 3, a speaker 9 to notify the user to collect the sprocket, and a container 10 paired with a suction unit for collecting the dust."
