MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004057 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'automated well cleaning device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated well cleaning device comprises of cuboidal body 1 placed in proximity to a wall, a motorized roller 2 via an L-shaped bar 3 and wrapped with a rod 4, a touch enabled screen 5 accessed by a user to input commands for cleaning the well, a camera 6 to detect depth and diameter of the well, a set of telescopically operated pins 14 arranged on a circular disc 7 configured with a free-end of rod 4 to extend and positon brushes 13 in contact to walls of the well, a DC (Direct Current) motor coupled with disc 7 to rotate the disc 7 and allow removal of dust/dirt from entire wall, multiple electronic nozzle to dispense water on the wall for rinsing of the wall, an L-shaped telescopically operated hollow member 8 configured with a suction unit 9 to collect waste water and transfer to a vessel 10."
