MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011924 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 12, for 'automated wearable ring removal device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sankar Narayan Das.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wearable ring removal device comprising, a cuboidal housing 101 positioned on a fixed surface, a Peltier unit provides heat to user's palm/ foot, an imaging unit 103 captures images of user foot/ palm, a touch interactive display panel 104 is accessed by user for selecting a finger from which user desires to remove ring, an electronic nozzle 105 is attached with a chamber 106 stored with a lubricating solution for dispensing lubricating solution on user's fingers, a hollow cylindrical member 107 configured with multiple flaps 108 interconnected via multiple hinges 109 arranged via an extendable L-shaped link 110 that extend for positioning member 107 in proximity to ring, a hydraulic actuator 111 attached with a motorized cutting blade 112, a microphone 113 provides commands for cutting the ring, a motorized two-axis lead screw arrangement 201 positions cutting blade 112 over ring, to cut ring."
