MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105065 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Oct. 30, 2025, for 'automated water channel cleaning device.'

Inventor(s) include Sanjay Choudhary.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated water channel cleaning device, comprising a platform 101 positioned on a ground surface in proximity to a water channel, an imaging unit 102 integrated installed on the platform 101 to detect location of bank of the water channel, a pair of caterpillar wheels 103 arranged underneath the platform 101 to maneuver the platform 101, a hydraulically operated boom arm 104 installed on the platform 101 to extend and position free end of the arm 104, a bucket 105 installed on the boom arm 104 by means of a motorized slider 106 to provide movement to the bucket 105, a hydraulically operated rod 107 installed between the slider 106 and bucket 105 to extend and submerge the bucket 105 in the water channel, a plurality of iris pores 108 configured with the bucket 105, to open and allow the water to drip off."
