MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026010 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated water buffaloes horn cutting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated water buffaloes horn cutting device comprises a platform 1 accommodate a pair of water buffaloes with horns stuck with each other, plurality of pressure sensors are arranged on the platform for detecting load of the buffaloes, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 is installed on the platform detect dimensions of the buffaloes, a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated rods 3 arranged on the platform for positioning a C-shaped clamping unit 4, plurality of robotic arms 5 installed on periphery of the platform positioning a curved-shaped member, plurality of motorized hinge joints integrated within each of the plates for modulating shape of the members, and a robotic link 6installed on the platform and configured with a motorized cutter 7, wherein upon gripping the buffaloes."
