According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated waste management and segregation system comprises of a hollow body 101 positioned on a ground surface, integrated with a mobility unit 102 featuring telescopic legs 102a and motorized omnidirectional wheels 102b for autonomous movement, a waste picking arrangement 103 with a mechanical arm 103a, motorized gripper 103c, and AI imaging unit 103d, while an inspection module identifies user(s) and classifies waste using AI-powered camera 104 and sensors, a waste segregating arrangement 105 with a dual-axis actuator and wedge-shaped plate 105c directs waste into three compartments for plastic/metallic, non-biodegradable, and biodegradable waste, a cutting arrangement 109 in the first compartment 106 and pressing arrangement 110 in the second and third compartments 107, 108 facilitate waste handling, cutting, and compaction, a processing unit manages all operations, aided by IoT-based communication, a wearable wristband 111 for health tracking, and a reward management module promoting proper waste disposal and eco-friendly practices."
