MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025533 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated wasp net relocation device.'

Inventor(s) include Satwinder Singh; Dr. Amresh Kumar; Dr. Rachin Goyal; and Lovepreet Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wasp net relocation device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface, plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 2 for maneuvering and positioning the platform 1, a touch enabled screen 3 v for enabling a user to give input commands for relocating a wasp nest, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 for detecting exact location of wasp nest, a plate 5 for lifting and positioning plate 5, a first robotic arm 7 for accommodating the ring 14 around wasp nest, plurality of flaps 8, plurality of motorized hinges 9 for tilting the flaps 8 to cover the nest, a second robotic arm 10 for detaching the nest from the ceiling portion, a cutter 11 to cut top portion of nest, a motorized lid 12 to close to prevent wasp from escaping nest, a third robotic arm 13 for dispensing adhesive solution, an electronic valve connected with a chamber stored with an adhesive solution, iris pores 15 for providing proper ventilation."
