MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024647 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated wallpaper removal device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wallpaper removal device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface of an enclosure, plurality of motorized wheels 2 move platform 1 over surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 generates a 3-dimesnional mapping of surroundings of platform 1 that is displayed on a touch interactive display panel 4 for displaying generated map to select a user-desired wall of, a vacuum pump 6 configured with a conduit 7 to extract steam through conduit 7, a robotic arm 10 acquires grip on conduit 7 for positioning one end of conduit 7 near selected wall, a hollow plate 8 having plurality of iris lids 9 for dispensing steam over selected wall, a chisel 11 arranged on platform 1 via a robotic link 12 for positioning blade 14 near loosened sheet, a motorized ball and socket joint 13 provides movement to chisel 11 for removing ends of loosened sheet."
