MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012981 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 22, 2024, for 'automated wall construction device.'
Inventor(s) include Amanpreet Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated wall construction device, comprises of a rectangular extendable frame 1 constructed with a set of extendable plates 2, to positioned on a wall under construction, a LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) sensor for detecting thickness of the wall, a camera 3 for detecting number of bricks in each row of the wall, a pair of electronic nozzles 4 for dispensing an optimum amount of the cement mortar on the wall, a pair of telescopically operated for gripping bricks placed in surroundings of the wall and arranging the bricks on the dispensed mortar to construct the wall, a robotic arm 7 equipped with a hammer 8 for striking the bricks to appropriately align the bricks, and a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated rods 9 for positioning a pair of motorized omnidirectional wheels 10 for translating the wheel along length of wall for allowing length-wise construction of the wall."
