MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003708 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 18, 2024, for 'automated vehicle valuation device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated vehicle valuation device, comprises of a body 1 installed with a touch interactive display panel 2 to select model number and year of purchase of a vehicle for valuation purpose, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the body 1 for determining external condition of the vehicle, a OBD (On board diagnostic) module 5 arranged on the body 1 that is accessed by the user for analyze performance of the vehicle's engine, a LDR (light dependent resistor) sensor 7 integrated on the body 1 for monitoring intensity of light emitted by different lights of the vehicle, a machine learning protocol encrypted analyser module integrated with the microcontroller for analysing data stored in the database for valuation of the vehicle, and server linked with the microcontroller for fetching online available data for comparing market price of the vehicle."
