MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025607 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated vehicle seat repairing device.'
Inventor(s) include Avinav Pathak; Shoyab Hussain; Dhruv Joshi; and Abhishek Dabas.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated vehicle seat repairing device, comprises of a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface and installed with a plate 8, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 or capturing and processing multiple images in vicinity to the platform 1, respectively, a touch interactive display panel 2 to select exact location of a vehicle present in proximity in which the user desires to repair torn/ scratched seats, an ultrasonic sensor to detect height of the seat, a motorized scissor arrangement 7 configured for lifting the plate 8 in view of positioning the plate 8 at an optimum height from the surface, a rectangular member 14 integrated with multiple flaps 17 interconnected by means of multiple hinges for positioning the plate 8 in proximity to the damaged portion, and an angle sensor for monitoring angle of the damaged portion with respect to the seat."
