MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117059 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'automated vehicle garage system.'

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A automated vehicle garage system, comprising of a cantilever structural frame 100 t configured with a vertical member 101 and a horizontal member 102 joined together via a bolted connection, for installation in an open parking space, an extendable roof panel 104 to retractably slide over one another, to allow longitudinal movement over the frame 100, a motor-driven rack and pinion assembly 107 to provide controlled extension and retraction of the roof panel, a piezoelectric panel 108 to generate electrical energy upon detection of load, a plurality of sensors mounted on the frame 100 including at least infrared (IR) sensors, rain sensors, ambient light sensors, proximity sensors, tilt sensors, load sensors, RFID sensors, and vibration sensors, each configured to provide real-time feedback to a microcontroller."
