MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073971 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'automated vehicle ac vent cleaning and installation device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Pritam Singh; Dr. Sonali Singh; and Ayush Rawat.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated vehicle ac vent cleaning and installation device, comprising a platform 1 placed inside a vehicle near dashboard of vehicle, a laser sensor determines level of surface, a telescopically operated rod 3 stabilizes platform 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 detects presence and exact location of AC (air conditioning) vent, an electronic nozzle 5 dispensing cleaning solution on ac vent, a motorized disc 7 via a telescopically operated bar 8 and equipped with plurality of bristles scrubbing ac vent via bristles, plurality of electronic valves 9 dispensing water on ac vent, an IR (Infrared) sensor detects presence of cracks/ dents on ac vent, a pair of robotic grippers 11 remove ac vent from dashboard and install new ac vent stored in a box."
