MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024815 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated vegetable washing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Rohit Sharma; Rupinder Kaur Tiwana; Sanvi Tomar; and Nancy.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated vegetable washing device comprising a body 1 installed on a vertical fixed support, a touch interactive display panel 2 for providing input for washing vegetables, a multi-section chamber 3 arranged in body 1, plurality of motorized lids 4 for allowing user to accommodate sliced or whole vegetable, plurality of electronically controlled nozzles to dispense pressurized water for cleaning vegetables, plurality of ultrasonic emitters to transmit ultrasonic vibrations, plurality of suction units 5 for allowing drainage of water, a multi-sectioned container 7 arranged underneath chamber 3, a motorized iris lid for allowing washed vegetables to pass from chamber 3 into container 7, a pair of air blowers 8 to blow dry vegetable, plurality of Peltier units 9 to prevent spoilage of vegetables, a button 10 for allowing dispensing of washed and cleaned vegetables."
