MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026110 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated utensil washing assistive device for sink.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated utensil washing assistive device for sink, comprising a frame 1 installed on peripheral portion of a sink, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 to determine peripheral dimensions of the sink, plurality of telescopically operated rods 3 for affixing the frame 1 on peripheral portion of the sink, a pair of gloves like structures 4 by means of stretchable conduit 5 are accessed by a user for wearing the structures 4, plurality of telescopically operated rods 3 for affixing the frame 1 on peripheral portion of the sink, a tactile sensor for monitoring hardness of the utensils, a speaker 7 to produce audio notification for the user to apply the optimum pressure on the utensils, a laser measurement sensor for monitoring dimensions of the utensils being washed by the user, and a color sensor for monitoring presence of stains on the utensils."
