MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024155 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'automated utensil collecting and cleaning device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated utensil collecting and cleaning device, comprising a housing 1 positioned over a ground surface in proximity to utensils that are to be washed, multiple of motorized omnidirectional wheels 2 to maneuver housing 1 over surface as per requirements, a touch interactive display panel 3 enables a user to provide input regarding a collection and cleaning of utensils, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 determines location of utensils, a pair of robotic grippers 5 positions utensils in plurality of slots 6 configured within housing 1, an electronic nozzle 7 to spray water and cleaning agent over positioned utensils, an laser sensor monitor dimension of each of said positioned utensils, a pair of motorized expandable brushes 9 scrub said utensils, and an motorized ball and socket joint 10 provides multidirectional movement to said brushes 9 in view of appropriately scrubbing said utensils."
