MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411007021 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'automated utensil cleaning device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated utensil cleaning device, comprising a cuboidal body 1 configured with multiple rods 2 for supporting the body, a suction cup 14 for mounting the body on the surface, an inlet 3 for enabling a user to insert a utensil, an opening 5 for enabling the user to fill the agents, a multi-sectioned chamber 4 for storing cleaning agent, a touch-interactive display 6 for enabling the user to input details regarding the type of utensil, an electronic nozzle 7 for dispensing the agent, a motorized stirrer 9 for mixing the agents, a valve 10 for dispensing the mixture, a pair of telescopically operated clamps 11 along with multiple L-shaped inverted links 12 for extending to secure the utensil, and a battery for powering all the electrical components of the device."
