MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024666 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated two-headed drum manufacturing device.'

Inventor(s) include Sushil Kumar Tripathi; and Dr. Ashutosh Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated two-headed drum manufacturing device, comprising a body 1 positioned on a ground surface, a display panel 2 for providing input regarding dimensions of a two-headed drum to be manufactured, an opening 3 for accommodating a wooden log inside body 1, an imaging unit 4 to determine positioning of log inside body 1, a pair of robotic arms 5 for acquiring grip on accommodated log for engaging on pair of slots 6 crafted inside body 1, a pair of telescopically operated L-shaped rod 7 to extend for positioning a jigsaw blade 8 on lateral sides of log, plurality of hydraulically operated bars 9 arranged inside body 1 to extend/retract for positioning a chisel 10 over outer portion of hollow log, a multi-sectioned chamber 11 for gripping a required fastener and tool stored in chamber 11 and fastener on edges of shaped drum via tool for manufacturing two-headed drum."
