MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026107 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated tree shaping device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Inderpreet Kaur; Anuradha Saini; Ruby Khatta; and Sandeep Kumar Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated tree shaping device, comprises a frame 1 positioned on a ground surface, a pair of vertical telescopically operated rods 2 positioned on lateral sides of a tree which is to be straightened, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 determine dimensions of the tree, an angle sensor monitors bending angle of the tree with respect to the surface, a pair of motorized clamping units 4 by means of a motorized sliding unit 5 translate the clamping units 4 towards the particular point, an ultrasonic sensor monitors distance of the clamping units 4 from the tree, a hydraulic unit 6 position the clamping units 4 in proximity to the tree, a laser measurement sensor monitors distance of displacement required in the tree."
