MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020772 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'automated tree branches trimming device.'
Inventor(s) include Devendra Pal Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A plate 2, a touch enabled screen 3 installed on the platform 1 for user input, a camera 4 for capturing images of the branches, plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 5 for maneuvering the platform 1, scissor lift arrangement 6 configured between the platform 1 and plate 2 for lifting the plate 2, an ultrasonic sensor to detect distance between the plate 2 and branches, an L-shaped telescopic bar 7 configured on the plate 2 for positioning a hollow cuboidal member 8, plurality of motorized cutters 9 arranged within the member for facilitating cutting, an angle sensor to detect projectile of the cut branches, plurality of motorized hinges 12 for collecting the cut branches, a dust sensor to monitor dust in surrounding, and an electronic sprinkler 13 attached with a vessel for spraying water."
